One morning I awoke to find a bear had once again knocked down my bird feeder. It was my fault, I left it up for too long. It is kind of exciting and scary all at once to know a black bear has been that close to your house. Since then, I have been much more careful and taken in my bird feeders when I know the bears are around.
Big Bags of Birdseed
We got big bags of birdseed, everything a bird needs
All the little chickadees, they ain’t got a care
The cardinals and the blue jays think they’re in Niravana
Not thinking of that day when they’ll have to share
We got a bright blue birdfeeder, nothing could be neater
A birdbath with a heater, a four-star restaurant
On Sunday it’s the best, by Monday it’s a mess
Looks like we had a guest and she gets what she wants
She wakes up from a long nap, she hasn’t eaten in eight weeks
Strolls up to the feeder and says ‘That looks good to me!’
After a long winter she can’t pass up a free dinner
Now she’s a little less thinner Filled up with our birdseed
She wakes up from a long nap, she hasn’t eaten in eight weeks
Strolls up to the feeder and says ‘That looks good to me!’
After a long winter she can’t pass up a free dinner
Now she’s a little less thinner Filled up with our birdseed
We got big bags of birdseed, everything a bird needs
All the little chickadees got so much to say
We got big bags of birdseed, might as well be bear feed
Momma bear takes what she needs and then she’s on her way
